Summer 2022 starts in Ibiza. That’s quite a headliner, isn’t it? BLASS team flies back to the Balearic Island for a week, ready to discover new parts of ‘La Isla Bonita’.
BLASS team flies back to the Balearic Island for a week, ready to discover new parts of ‘La Isla Bonita’ only a year after our last visit. We arrive in Santa Eulalia des Riu, a little town that often attracts families and a quieter tourism.
Marsol Apartments are located right next to a little beach and some vibrant restaurants. The historic centre is not far and from there you can spot some white painted houses spreaded beautifully on the green hill and Puig de Missa church at the top of it all. Some really special coves are only a few metres away and we find them surprisingly calming given the time of the year. Their sister property and well known Hotel Riomar is just next to it, also facing the sea.
Elegant minimalism and pure lines
Only a few metres away from the main coves of Santa Eulalia
We enter the property and instantly feel a sense of quietness. In fact, there are some signs here and there asking the visitors to remain silent in the common areas. Only a few musical beats from a close restaurant dare to break the atmosphere. We are given the key to our apartment – a digital card that can only be used from your phone. There is only a small reception with some magazines and cards from the city and an open corridor that connects all the rooms with the main entrance and the beach access. Walls are painted in a light cream and wood details contrast with the blue horizon and palm trees all around.
We are shooting a fashion campaign during the first couple of days here so this time it was crucial to find a space that could help us logistically and was both comfortable and practical. Our apartment is located on the ground floor, with a big terrace at the end. There are only 12 apartments within the property from 25 to 45 sqm, all of them perfectly equipped. The rooms also breathe a sense of calmness and coziness after their redesign in 2020. Every room offers a different viewpoint, with some of them facing the Mediterranean sea

Fully equipped kitchen in the room
Our room boasts a king-sized bed and lots of space to spread out and relax. The TV is large with surround sound and there’s a long bench that goes alongside the wall with some storage space underneath and a few hangers for more delicate pieces. The room is painted in white with golden details coming from the small lamps around and some muted pinks and greens present on the bed headboard. The bathroom has a fairly sized shower and their own amenities, in case you forget to bring your own. There are a couple of seating areas – one by the kitchen and another on the outdoor terrace. The kitchen is equipped with the basics for a quick meal preparation, although we would suggest some more utensils, tableware and cutlery for a more complete experience.
Marsol offers a daily cleaning service if wished and towels can also be changed upon request. Across the property, staff are laid back and welcoming. They are always willing to help and did help a lot with the return of the campaign boxes. It’s easy to see couples around and it’s safe to say that they might be their most recurring clients. The apartments offer a relaxing and unpretentious escape in a quieter Ibiza and the chance to have your own space to prepare home-made meals and toast to a glass of wine in their spacious terraces. However, if you want to explore around and try some new restaurants, there are some beach clubs close by and a nice Italian restaurant with take away pizzas just a minute away.

Quietness
We would recommend the apartments if you’re looking for a more laid-back experience during your trip to the island. They fit the boutique property category well and are located in a nice area – only 18km from the airport and by the beach. The atmosphere is quiet and calming given its location and we hardly heard any noises neither from the clubs or the guests after 11/12 pm, in case that’s a strong request for the getaway.
. We would like to thank the staff for keeping an eye on us during the whole stay and for the help they provided regarding the campaign. It would be nice to make Ibiza a yearly tradition, wouldn’t it?
