BLASS reinvented the image of 10011 magazine and designed a new set of logos that combine a contemporary elegance with bold forms.

10011 is an emergent art and culture magazine, founded in 2017. The independent magazine is based in New York City but collaborates with creators all over the world. 10011 is an international project with a local focus.

10011 started as a print magazine. Then content went online. As art media declines, 10011 is finding ways to stay relevant by rebranding as an art platform. 10011 sells art but also promotes independent musicians and hosts its own podcast. 10011 is a dynamic art community.

The 10011 logo system is strong and envisioned to be memorable and lasting. BLASS founded the 10011 logo on the city map.

10011 is the zip code where the magazine started. It’s a neighborhood in Manhattan. NYC is very important to the magazine and what it does. Consequently, the new visual identity had to represent that bond and reinforce it. The aim of the magazine is to become an iconic brand and be able to partake in many different art related business practices. 10011 can really adapt to the times and make a change in the current art industry.

A grid was created based on the actual measurements and proportions of the different neighborhoods of NY, on which we can then work on the composition of different logo variants and on the distribution of images and texts for varied contexts. Therefore, a rectangle starting from the 23rd Street – where everything originally started – has been picked as the magazine’s label and remarkable corporate brand.
